AlmaLinux is binary compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and the usual successor for everything that used to run on CentOS. Suitable if your software is certified for RHEL or if you work with dnf, SELinux and Firewalld.
AlmaLinux 10 is maintained until 2035, AlmaLinux 9 until 2032. You install updates yourself with dnf. Switching to a new major version requires a reinstallation in the customer portal.
AlmaLinux comes with the familiar toolchain from Red Hat Enterprise Linux. If you are coming from CentOS, you will find everything in the same place.
Because AlmaLinux is compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, certified applications run on it without modification, for example databases or industry-specific software with vendor certification.
Version 10 receives security updates until 2035, version 9 until 2032. For systems that are meant to stay in place for ten years, this is the longest period in our range.
Both are rebuilds of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Since version 9, AlmaLinux has deliberately moved away from bug-for-bug binary compatibility and also fixes bugs in advance. Rocky Linux keeps to strict compatibility. In everyday use, the difference is rarely noticeable.

Shares the host system's kernel, starts in seconds and is the lower-priced option. Suitable for web servers, databases, applications and Docker.
Minimum term for new orders. After that, the contract continues for an indefinite period and is cancellable with one month's notice. For business customers 12 months, then renewal for twelve months at a time, cancellation with a notice period of three months to the end of the term.
Consumers can withdraw from the contract within fourteen days of its conclusion without giving any reason.
You pay only the monthly price. All prices include VAT.
A .de domain is included in the plan for the entire contract term, not just in the first year.
If you pay twelve months in advance, the price is reduced by 5%. The term is then twelve months. Without a renewal, the contract then continues at the monthly price.
Business customers can choose to pay 24 months (10% discount) or 36 months (15% discount) in advance.
